Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated CNA Instructor to lead the next generation of healthcare professionals. This position is for an evening class on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4p-9pm. You must have 2 years experience in long-term care.
Duties
- Develop, design, and update CNA curricula aligned with educational standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
- Deliver engaging classroom instruction incorporating teaching simulation methods and learning technology tools
- Assess student performance through documentation review, practical exams, and competency evaluations; provide constructive feedback to support growth
- Ensure compliance with educational regulations and healthcare standards by maintaining accurate records of student progress and clinical hours
- Facilitate classroom discussions that promote cultural competency and sensitivity when working with students from diverse backgrounds
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in healthcare education or clinical instruction within higher education or hospital environments
- Extensive knowledge of nursing practices including patient care, medical terminology, care plans.
- Experience working with post-secondary students in adult education settings.
- Background in curriculum design and development for healthcare training programs; experience integrating teaching simulation methods is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of educational compliance regulations related to healthcare training programs and clinical instruction standards
- Familiarity with learning technology tools used for online instruction and documentation review processes
