Position Overview
The Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Supervisor oversees the daily activities of I&C technicians responsible for the maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment. This role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations while supporting regulatory compliance and equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilitie
- sSupervise and coordinate the daily work of I&C technicians
- .Conduct equipment and system assessments, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective actions
- .Support maintenance planning, outages, equipment overhauls, and capital projects
- .Lead root cause investigations and drive corrective and preventive actions
- .Oversee contractors and third-party service providers
- .Review and maintain technical documentation, testing procedures, and design changes
- .Provide technical support to operations, maintenance, and plant leadership
- .Prepare technical reports and communicate project and equipment status to stakeholders
- .Ensure compliance with applicable safety, regulatory, and engineering standards
.Qualification
- s5 years of industrial maintenance experience in power generation, refining, manufacturing, marine, or similar process industries
- .4 years of supervisory experience
- .Strong knowledge of DCS, PLCs, instrumentation, low-voltage electrical systems, switchgear, MCCs, UPS systems, and related equipment
- .Experience with troubleshooting, equipment reliability, protection systems, and PLC programming
- .Knowledge of applicable industry codes, standards, and maintenance practices
- .Proven leadership and team development skills
- .Experience supervising a union workforce preferred
- .Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred
.Physical & Work Environmen
- tAbility to work in industrial environments, including outdoor conditions, heights, confined spaces, and around energized equipment
- .Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders and stairs, and wear required PPE, including respiratory protection when needed
Salary : $140,000 - $170,000
