About the PLC

The Professional Logging Contractors of the Northeast (PLC), formerly the PLC of Maine, is an independent, 501(c)(3) non-profit educational association based in Augusta, Maine. Founded in 1995 to provide a unified voice for Maine’s timber harvesting and hauling industry, the PLC expanded in October 2023 to represent timber harvesters and haulers across the Northeast—including all of New England and New York.

The PLC is the only organization in the region dedicated solely to educating the public on the value of logging and trucking in a rapidly changing forest industry. The PLC Board is made up entirely of loggers, making it truly an organization run by loggers, for loggers.

Position Overview

The PLC seeks a Marketing and Digital Content Coordinator whose primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, and manage the organization’s marketing and digital content strategy across the Northeast.

Reporting directly to the Deputy Executive Director of Communications, the Coordinator will help drive growth in membership, advocacy, and engagement through effective branding, and digital outreach. Travel within the region will be required.

Key Responsibilities

· Support the Deputy Executive Director on priority projects and initiatives.

· Develop and execute marketing strategies to grow membership and promote PLC programs, trainings, and events.

· Manage, create and analyze content across social media, website, and email platforms.

· Oversee design and implementation of branding and outreach materials.

· Plan and coordinate PLC events such as the Annual Meeting, Safety Trainings, Professional Development Workshops, Legislative Breakfast, and Log-A-Load for Kids charity fundraisers.

· Collaborate with staff on communications and public relations activities.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.

· Minimum of five years of experience in marketing, social media, and brand management.

· Proficiency with:

o WordPress (web design/maintenance)

o Adobe Creative Cloud

o Canva

o Constant Contact

o Major social media platforms and analytics tools

· Strong writing, communication, and project management skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects effectively.

· Familiarity with the logging or forestry industry is a plus.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
