Host / Hostess – Full-Time, Part-Time & Seasonal

Location: Virginia Beach OceanfrontPay: HourlySchedule: Flexible scheduling available (days, evenings, weekends, and seasonal)

The Cavalier Resort is seeking friendly, organized, and hospitality-focused Hosts/Hostesses to join our team across several dining venues throughout the resort. As the first and last point of contact for many guests, hosts play an important role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring smooth restaurant operations.

Hosts may work in one or more of the following venues across the resort:

• Orion’s Roof – rooftop dining experience
• Becca – upscale American dining
• The Hunt Room – tavern-style restaurant and bar
• The Raleigh Room – craft cocktail lounge
• Tulu Seaside Bar & Grill – coastal dining concept
• Tacos N Tequila – Oceanfront Tiki Vibes
• The Deck – oceanfront dining
• We Scream Ice Cream – Icecream & Coffee Shop
• Dining outlets within Embassy Suites by Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort including Arbuckle’s Bar & Grill

Position Overview

Hosts are responsible for greeting guests, managing restaurant seating flow, and creating a welcoming first impression. This role requires strong communication skills, organization, and the ability to remain calm and professional during busy service periods.

What You’ll Do

👋 Welcome guests warmly and provide a positive first impression of the restaurant

📋 Manage waitlists, reservations, and table assignments

🪑 Escort guests to tables and provide menus

📞 Answer phones and assist with reservation inquiries

⏱ Coordinate with servers and managers to ensure efficient table turnover

🧹 Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entry area

💬 Assist guests with questions and provide accurate information about the restaurant

🤝 Support the service team to ensure a smooth dining experience

✔ Ability to stay organized and multitask in a fast-paced environment

✔ Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred but not required

✔ Comfortable standing for extended periods

✔ Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
