Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team. This role is vital in ensuring smooth patient flow, accurate communication, and exceptional administrative support within our audiology practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong office skills, a strong ability to multi task, attention to detail is a must, a compassionate and outgoing attitude, and familiarity with medical terminology and compliance to provide outstanding patient service and support daily operations.
Duties
- Greet patients and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments efficiently
- Collect and verify patient information, insurance details, and update records accurately
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding appointments, treatments, and follow-up care
- Support the audiology team by managing administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
- Handle patient inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and empathy
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with billing procedures and insurance claims processing as needed
- Ensure the waiting area remains organized and welcoming
Experience
- Prior experience in a medical setting is preferred
- Patient focused care and a teamwork mindset is required
- Proven ability to support administrative functions within a healthcare environment
- Office experience demonstrating strong organizational and communication skills
- Familiarity with medical office software and electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus
