Professional Health Care of Pinellas is seeking a friendly, energetic Medical Records Coordinator for our busy practice. The Medical Records Coordinator performs clerical duties in association with Medical Records. Facilitates the legal and appropriate release of medical records. Acts as a liaison in regard to release of information and communicates with patients, hospital associates, outside parties and others on laws and regulations pertaining to the release of information. Understands the importance of Medical Records to quality patient care.
Must have at least one year of Medical Records experience, prefer 5 years or more experience.
Required skills: Microsoft Office product proficiency. Must have experience with Medical Terminology. eClinicalWorks experience is a plus. Interpersonal skills, effective Communication skills, attention to detail, ability to problem solve and strong Organizational skills, excellent Customer Service skills.. Knowledge of HIPAA and Medical Records. Bilingual preferred.
