What are the responsibilities and job description for the Professional Gardener- general & management level positions(seasonal) position at Professional Gardening Services?
We are a small Professional Gardening company looking to hire a general gardener and a management level gardener to work at and manage gardening needs at beautiful small estates in the upper Bucks/Hellertown/Bethlehem areas. We maintain flower gardens, landscapes & vegetable gardens using hard work and organic only practices to create beauteous, healthy, & clean gardens of all kinds.
General Gardener position requirements:
- love of weeding and plant maintenance
-desire to learn about plants & shrubs
-ability to work outside in high heat & humidity, as well as cold and all other types of weather
-ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
-ability to pay attention to and appreciate fine details (OCD is a plus!)
-dedication and commitment to work from end of April to end of November
-MUST have a dependable car & phone
Management position requirements:
- general gardener requirements, plus:
- knowledge & interest in organic disease & insect control
-knowledge of garden plants and shrubs in our area and what it takes to maintain them
-ability to manage time sensitive tasks
HOURS will be 4-5 days per week, no weekends, 4-7 hour /day. we do our best to work with your schedule and our schedule depends on mother nature. We generally can not work in the pouring rain, but may work in light rain.
PAY is hourly & depends on experience, knowledge, and availability. ($17-30/hour)
