We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with patients, learning new technology, and contributing to a collaborative healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and prepare them for examinations.
- Obtain patient histories, including medical, ocular, and medication information.
- Perform preliminary testing
- Assist doctors with comprehensive eye examinations and contact lens evaluations.
- Support dry eye evaluations and treatments, including diagnostic testing and patient education.
- Accurately document findings and maintain electronic medical records.
- Coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient clinic operations.
- Assist with scheduling, recalls, and other administrative duties as needed.
- Maintain exam rooms and diagnostic equipment.
- Process patient paperwork, including insurance information and payment transactions.
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality.
Qualifications
Preferred:
- Experience in optometry, ophthalmology, or another healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic health records.
- Spanish language skills a plus
Required:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Monday to Friday
- 4 days or 4.5 days each week, depending on employee's preference
