A growing and well-established concrete contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team. This role will be responsible for preparing competitive and accurate estimates for commercial and industrial concrete projects while working closely with operations, project managers, vendors, and leadership teams.
This role is a direct hire role with fantastic benefits and a total comp of over 250,000 (Salary and profit sharing)
Responsibilities
- Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs and detailed cost analysis
- Prepare accurate project estimates and proposals
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Develop labor, equipment, and material budgets
- Identify value engineering opportunities and project risks
- Coordinate with field operations and project management teams during preconstruction
- Attend pre-bid meetings and occasional site walks
- Maintain organized bid documentation and estimating records
- Assist with project turnover meetings once work is awarded
Qualifications
- 5 years of estimating experience within concrete or commercial construction
- Strong understanding of concrete construction methods and materials
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and bids simultaneously
- Structural concrete, foundations, flatwork, tilt-up, or site concrete experience
- Experience working with general contractors and negotiated projects
