What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apprentice Electrician position at Professional Electrical Services LLC?
About the company: Professional Electrical Services is a residential and commercial electrical service contractor. We do electrical service upgrades, renovations/rewires, storage buildings, and service calls. We also do smaller in scope commercial jobs. We take tremendous pride in our work and strive for excellence.
The open position is for an apprentice electrician position. The apprentice will work under direct supervision of a master or journeyman electrician.
Duties to Include:
- Install, repair, and maintain various electrical wiring systems and equipment
- Run wires through houses in attics, crawlspaces, or through finished walls
- Assist a master or journeyman electrician and follow instructions
- Prepare and clean work areas
- Carry and deliver materials
- Assist in the shop, pull material, wash/clean vans, and perform vehicle inspections
- Use measuring equipment and hand tools
- Follow safety codes and building regulations
The ultimate goal for the apprentice electrician is to become a licensed journeyman electrician after 2-3 years experience. We will help you with the training. We have an in-house training area complete with booths, and theory area. Our booths have the capability to teach new construction, renovations, panel wiring, motor controls, lighting, etc.
