Summary

We are seeking a Special Education Teacher to join our team at Professional Early Intervention Services. In this role, you will collaborate closely with a North Carolina Licensed Behavior Analyst (NC LBA) to implement evidence-based strategies in a early learners school readiness environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children with disabilities, particularly those with autism and other developmental challenges, using individualized and data-driven instructional methods. This position is an excellent opportunity to be part of an interdisciplinary team focused on ensuring children develop the foundational skills necessary for academic success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized plans tailored to each child's developmental and educational needs.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to young children with disabilities in a structured school readiness setting.
  • Work in collaboration with an NC Licensed Behavior Analyst (NC LBA) to integrate behavioral interventions and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques into daily instruction.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies and behavioral supports as needed.
  • Collaborate with families, therapists, and other educators to ensure a holistic approach to child development.
  • Utilize positive behavior reinforcement and data-driven interventions to support students’ social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in special education and behavioral interventions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field; Please note: Master’s degree preferred.
  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education (North Carolina preferred).
  • Experience working with children with disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum and with behavioral needs.
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including a NC Licensed Behavior Analyst.
  • Knowledge of early intervention strategies, school readiness skills, and behavioral therapy techniques.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills, with the ability to work closely with families and caregivers.
  • Passion for supporting young learners in developing critical foundational skills for future academic success.
  • This is a Full Time position! Must obtain RBT or ABAT credential!
