Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned and energetic Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team. In this vital role, you will deliver high-quality psychiatric care by conducting assessments, diagnosing mental health conditions, and developing personalized treatment plans. Your expertise will help improve the lives of diverse clients across various age groups and backgrounds through innovative mental health interventions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments for patients of all ages.
- Prescribe medications and monitor medication management to optimize patient outcomes.
- Provide psychotherapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to individual needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including counselors, social workers, and primary care providers.
- Manage patient care plans using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Therapy Appointment.
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and medication adherence.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with current licensure.
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations including children, and Adults up to 65 years old.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient management.
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology, medication administration, and medication management protocols.
- Experience in behavioral health settings including outpatient clinics, hospitals, or assisted living facilities.
- Strong understanding of mental health diagnoses using ICD-10 coding standards; familiarity with CPT coding is a plus.
