Role Description The Tax Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Moorestown, NJ. This position is responsible for preparing individual and small business tax returns, including LLC, Corporate, and Partnership filings, in accordance with applicable tax laws and regulations. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing client financial documents, ensuring tax compliance, identifying potential tax savings, and assisting with payroll, bookkeeping, and sales tax filings as needed. The Tax Associate will communicate with clients to gather information, clarify tax-related questions, and provide clear explanations of filing outcomes. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, staying current with changes in tax law, and supporting senior team members with research and special projects.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Tax Preparation and Tax Compliance, with experience handling individual and small business returns.
- Knowledge of Tax Law and general Tax principles, including federal, state, and local regulations.
- Foundational understanding of Finance, including reading financial statements and analyzing client data.
- Attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Office tools.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a client-focused and professional approach.
- Ability to work on-site in Moorestown, NJ, manage multiple deadlines, and collaborate within a small team environment.
