Position Overview

We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Representative to prospect, qualify, and generate new business opportunities within our local and state marketplace. This field-focused role is perfect for a self-motivated sales professional who thrives on building relationships, identifying business needs, and developing solutions that drive client success. You'll spend the majority of your time in the marketplace connecting with decision-makers and building our sales pipeline across multiple technology service lines.


Key Responsibilities


Business Development & Prospecting (75%)

Actively prospect and develop new business opportunities through telephone outreach, email campaigns, social media engagement, and strategic in-person visits.

Conduct thorough needs analysis to identify prospect pain points, technology gaps, and business priorities across IT infrastructure, communications, and document management.

Build and nurture prospect relationships to advance opportunities through our sales funnel.

Collaborate with technical specialists and account managers to develop comprehensive solutions and grow the sales pipeline.

Maintain consistent activity levels to meet quarterly revenue and pipeline development goals


Sales Administration & CRM Management (20%)


Manage prospect and lead data within Compass Sherpa CRM system.

Create detailed opportunity profiles and track all sales activities.

Prepare pipeline reports, sales forecasts, and activity dashboards.

Support proposal development and client presentations across all service categories.

Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless handoffs and client onboarding.


Professional Development (5%)


Participate in ongoing training programs covering our full technology portfolio including MSP services, VOIP systems, print solutions, and emerging technologies.

Stay current on industry trends and competitive landscape.

Develop expertise in consultative selling techniques and solution positioning.


Experience & Background


Proven business development or sales experience (we value quality experience over specific years).

Strong track record in B2B sales, preferably in technology or professional services.

Experience with longer sales cycles and contract-based solutions preferred.

Familiarity with IT services, office technology, or communications systems is a plus.
