Direct Support Professional / Paraprofessional

We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Paraprofessional to provide one-on-one in-home care for individuals with IDD. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting individuals with:

• Cerebral Palsy
• Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Down Syndrome
• Mild Intellectual Disability

This role is perfect for someone who is patient, empathetic, dependable, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of others.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living assistance (meal prep, hygiene support, mobility assistance, etc.)
• Support individuals in developing independent living skills
• Implement behavior support and care plans as directed
• Engage clients in social, recreational, and educational activities
• Monitor and document progress, behaviors, and health/safety concerns with excellent documentation skills
• Communicate effectively with families, supervisors, and other care team members
• Ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive home environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (some college in human services a plus)
• At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with IDD (required)
• Experience with cerebral palsy, autism, Down syndrome, or intellectual disabilities (required)
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record
• Excellent documentation skills, strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities
• Ability to pass background and reference checks

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
