What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landing Gear Engineer position at Professional Aircraft Accessories?
POSITION SUMMARY (This position is onsite and requires regular, in-person attendance at our facility in Titusville, FL. Remote work is not available for this role):
Under the direction of the Director of Quality, the Landing Gear Engineer is responsible for landing gear and component repair development and performing engineering liaison activities.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
• Able to handle all project details including requirement derivation, conceptualization, detail design,
analysis, project oversight, manufacturing support and sustaining support.
• Obtain and analyze test data.
• Formulate plans for solution development, documentation, and deployment.
• Apply technical knowledge to design, analyze, investigate and resolve assigned engineering problems.
• Perform functional testing and troubleshooting of equipment and systems in assigned area by utilizing
standard engineering and scientific principles.
• Develop documentation of findings and implemented solutions.
• Develop design specification with primarily bottoms-up requirements.
• Create initial conceptual layouts.
• Negotiate design trades through:
Kinematic / kinetic analysis
Performing initial component sizing
Linear elastic finite element analysis
Prototype manufacturing and engineering qualification / safety-of-flight test
Production sustainment
Unusual or complex scope design projects
Project oversight
• Represent the company as a prime technical contact on contracts and/or projects.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor's Degree in a Mechanical Engineering discipline (four year college or technical school) required.
Experience: Experience in an aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul function is preferred.
Experience in landing gear design, repair or manufacturing is preferred.
Experience with requirement derivation, conceptualization, detail design and analysis.
Experience providing project oversight and manufacturing support.
Computer Skills: Experience in desktop CAD software. Proficient with computers and the ability to use MS
Office, Corridor and other related programs.
