Infrastructure Engineer
Duration: 9 Months Contract
Location: Des Moines, IA (onsite)
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with a preference in technology, science, engineering, or math related field or equivalent work experience.
Relevant internship or experience in an IT customer service, IT support or IT troubleshooting role or related experience is recommended.
Strong technical and engineering mindset focusing on root cause analysis and the ability to own a problem or situation from start to finish.
Possess strong problem-solving and big picture/conceptual skills.
Strong planning, organizational, analytical, decision-making, communication and time management skills required.
Must have the desire and ability to learn new technology and continuously grow. Including the ability to work with people at all levels and collaborate with both IT and non-IT partners.
Must be able to maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
Basic knowledge of insurance and financial services products preferred.
Responsibilities:
Assist with production implementation and support of new and existing technologies.
Maintain a high level of customer service by answering business partner’s calls, emails, and instant messages.
Direct interaction with business partners to identify, research, document, design solutions and resolve issues.
Responsible for learning and providing contributions by understanding technical functionality, usability, design, security, and operation of supported systems.
Independently and collaboratively research complex solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders as well as business objectives to technical teams across the organization.
Train and educate users as well as initiate preventative technical measures when appropriate.
Working Conditions: Must be able to move 30 pounds as a physical requirement of the position.
