What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant OR Controllership position at Prodware Solutions?
We have a 6 months contract opportunity for a Accountant or Controllership with a client based in Houston, TX.
This will be a 100% remote opportunity.
Top must haves are having experience with Revenue Recognition ASC 606 and within a Healthcare Industry background, maintaining accounting for hospitals, clinics surgery centers etc.
Leading or managing or superviser jr Accountants
The MAX rate we have on this is $40/hr on W2 with or without benefits.

basic/foundational items (e.g., Revenue Recognition principle, prov. vs. resrv. Etc.)
Specifically have Healthcare, and preferably multi-location accounting and finance support.
Need to have lead experience, managing a team of jr accoutants.
Summary of the skillset below:
- 5=7 years of controllership or accounting experience in healthcare services (e.g., hospitals, surgery centers, physician practices), with strong knowledge of US GAAP and healthcare revenue/expense accounting.
- Skilled in preparing and validating journal entries and managing month-end/quarter-end close activities using the close calendar to sequence tasks.
- Experienced in reviewing reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting outputs prepared by accounting teams, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
- Comfortable working with regional CFOs and finance teams, providing reliable controllership support and ensuring smooth execution of accounting operation
