We are seeking a motivated and technically capable Applications Engineer to support our customers across metrology, product demonstrations, and performance solutions. This role is responsible for building programs that meet customer objectives, providing hands-on technical support, and delivering training that helps customers get the most out of our products.
The Applications Engineer partners closely with sales, engineering, and marketing teams to deliver technical solutions and product expertise to prospective and existing customers.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical problem solving, customer relationships, and hands-on training within a manufacturing and industrial environment.
What You'll Do
- Develop programs and applications that meet customer specifications and objectives
- Provide technical support to customers, including troubleshooting and issue resolution
- Confirm programs and applications work properly after maintenance and testing
- Conduct product demonstrations that showcase technical features and processes
- Prepare operating instructions and lead training programs tailored to customer needs
- Communicate product benefits for complex applications to customers and prospects
- Partner with the sales team to recommend the right products for customer applications
- Collaborate with engineering and marketing on product development projects
- Maintain positive, ongoing customer relationships
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a similar environment preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort presenting to small groups
- Proficient with MS Office
- Creative, analytical, and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to travel up to 70%, domestic
- Ability to meet qualifications required to work with ITAR designated data
