Pay: $17.00 per hour

Productive Playhouse has an extensive background in language services, including transcription, translation, and audio collection projects in a wide variety of languages. What You Will Do

Transcribers will work in the office listening to audio recordings via headphones and transcribe (type) what is heard using our client’s proprietary transcription platform. Elements transcribed include speech (sometimes frequently overlapping), background noises, and music.

Requirements:

• 18 years of age
• English as a primary language
• Ability to understand a wide variety of English-speaking accents
• High School Diploma / GED or equivalent
• 50 WPM typing speed preferred
• Strong language skills, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for punctuation, grammar, and spelling
• Ability to learn and adapt to our client’s style guide and written domain conventions
• Strong research skills for accurate spelling of names, locations, and products
• Ability to commit between 20-40 hours per week
• Able to wear masks as we navigate the ever-changing nature of COVID
• Transcribers must be able to comply with PPE requirements (including wearing a mask while working and frequent hand washing) until further notice. Hand sanitizer and additional PPE materials will be provided and available on-site.

Please note: Due to our client’s strict data security policies, applicants should be aware that personal items, including electronics such as phones and other electronic devices, will not be allowed in the workspace. Any personal items will need to be stored in provided lockers outside of the actual working environment. Employees are able to leave the workspace to use their phones outside the office if needed.

• Day shift (8:30am-4:30pm)
• Evening shift (5:00pm-9:00pm)
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend options (9:00am-5:00pm)

Vaccinated office. Masks required at all times. Transcribers must be willing to comply with fluctuating COVID-19 safety measures for the health of all our staff until further notice.
