Position of: Purchasing and Inventory Specialist
This position is a full time, nonexempt, in person position Monday- Friday 9:00am- 6:00pm. Reports to the President and Controller.

Primary Responsibilities
- Purchase goods and services according to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain the PUI Purchase Order Log.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with vendors.
- Maintain pricing histories and other vendor records.
- Ensure purchasing documents are complete and accurate.
- Manage and maintain the inventory system.
- Maintain consistent stock of inventory, ordering new stock once the reorder point is reached.
- Coordinate with managers to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Maintain accurate daily records of goods received in inventory system.
- Conduct frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
- Conduct the annual end-of-year physical full inventory audit.
- Add new items to inventory as required, including the creation of internal part numbers and assigning storage locations.
- Work to find value added pricing and quantity discounts for products as well as alternative vendors to boost the company’s bottom line.
- Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, the accounting team, and outside vendors.
- Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
- Proficient keyboarding skills.
- Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Punctual, responsible, have organized work habits and be able to keep up with deadlines and complete daily work on time.
- Must maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Full-time non-exempt position; pay range starting at $19.00-24.00 per hour depending on experience, education, and training.
