Overview:
Seeking a Buyer to support day-to-day purchasing for a pipe fabrication operation. This role focuses on placing orders, tracking materials, and ensuring production has what it needs on time.
Responsibilities:
- Issue purchase orders for pipe, fittings, flanges, valves, and related materials
- Track order status and follow up with vendors
- Expedite critical materials to support production schedules
- Review material lists and assist with takeoffs/BOMs
- Communicate with shop and project teams on material needs
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and pricing
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years purchasing or buying experience (industrial preferred)
- Familiarity with piping materials is a strong plus
- Ability to read basic drawings and material lists
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Experience with ERP or purchasing systems preferred
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
