What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Manager position at Production Products, Inc.?
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Handles all aspects of safety, quality, and production activities with the objective of meeting the plant’s MOS measurable goals.
- Provides the vision, direction and leadership for production operations.
- Drives continuous improvement activities.
- Leads the plant’s efforts towards development and implementation of Self-Directed Work Teams
- Participates with peers as a member of the plant operating team.
- Participates in plant strategic planning and budgeting processes for the manufacturing operation.
- Promotes, enforces and sustains ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001 standards in manufacturing activity.
- Assures Area Managers and other direct reports receive appropriate direction, training and development.
- Assures fair application, compliance and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Treats all other team members with respect and dignity.
- Performs other essential functions as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- College degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a manufacturing leadership position with automotive stamping exposure.
SPECIAL SKILLS
- Computer literate.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to continuous improvement through team member participation and involvement.
MAJOR PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Is required to sit, stand, walk, reach overhead, bend over, and exert up to 50 pounds of force when needed.
