Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Plasma Operator to join Production Metals. In this role, you will be responsible for operating plasma cutting equipment to precisely cut and shape metal components according to technical specifications. Your expertise in machine operation, measurement, and safety standards will ensure high-quality production and efficient workflow. Responsibilities
- Work call outs and overtime as required.
- Clean and maintain workstations and plasma machines.
- Advise Production Manager of any required repairs or ordering needs.
- Clean, maintain and organize plate storage area.
- Inspect plates for damage prior to cutting.
- Cut and deburr parts completed on plasma.
- Be a team player and help maintain a great and productive work environment to keep the business growing.
- Embrace and communicate core values.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Ability to read and understand required measuring equipment (tape measure, micrometers, calipers, etc).
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings.
- Ability to stand for 8 hours or more at a time.
- Ability to push, pull and lift 50 lbs. or more.
Preferred Skills
- Ability and understanding of repairs on high pressure pumps and plumbing.
- Ability to operate Flow shape cutting software.
- Understanding of AutoCAD
