Plastics Molding Operations Technician

Do you enjoy solving production puzzles, fine-tuning processes, and keeping quality front and center? If you’re comfortable around injection and blow molding machines and can steer an operation toward less downtime and less scrap, this role is for you.

• Operate and oversee injection and blow molding equipment to sustain throughput and stability.
• Watch process variables and finished parts, acting quickly to protect quality.
• Drive quality improvements and hold the line on standards.
• Team up with Process Engineering to reduce downtime and scrap while improving efficiency.
• Spot tooling-related molding issues and communicate them to the Supervisor.
• Participate in preventive maintenance activities for tooling and equipment.
• Log downtime, scrap, and changeover metrics accurately to inform continuous improvement.

• Can you read and interpret blueprints?
• Are you certified or experienced with forklifts and overhead cranes?
• Do you understand the operation of blow molding machines?

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years in manufacturing with 2 years as a machine operator.
• Comfortable using hand tools (preferred).

• Frequent walking, sitting, climbing, bending, stooping, grasping, crouching, pushing, balancing, reaching, kneeling, and standing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Exposure to both high and low temperature environments at times.
