Quality Inspector – In-Process & AQL (Manufacturing Floor)
Position Summary
The Quality Inspector supports manufacturing operations by performing in-process inspections and AQL sampling to ensure products meet quality standards, specifications, and work instructions. This role works closely with Production and Quality teams on the manufacturing floor. Previous line lead or production lead experience is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-process inspections during filling, labeling, and packaging operations
- Conduct AQL inspections on finished goods and packaging components
- Verify product appearance, fill level, labeling, lot coding, and packaging integrity
- Document inspection results clearly and accurately on paper and electronic logs
- Identify and escalate quality issues to Quality and Production leadership
- Support line clearance and start-up checks
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety requirements at all times
- Assist with rework, inspections, and special quality projects as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous manufacturing, quality, or line lead experience preferred
- Familiarity with AQL inspections is a plus (training can be provided)
- Comfortable working on a fast-paced production floor
- Basic computer skills (Google Sheets, simple data entry, scanning documents)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions
- Bilingual English / Spanish required
Work Environment
- Manufacturing and packaging floor environment
- Standing for extended periods; lifting up to 40 lbs as needed
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $ $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
