What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Specialist position at Product Evaluation Systems, Inc.?
Product Evaluation Systems, Inc. (PES) is currently looking for a Customer Service Specialist. PES is an independent, full-service mechanical, metallurgical, chemical and nondestructive testing laboratory, located in Latrobe, PA. This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and answering inquiries regarding pricing, lead times, and general client concerns. This position is also responsible for researching and following up on new leads.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism with clients while working toward establishing a positive rapport
- Answer incoming calls/emails in a timely manner, addressing client concerns and keeping them informed
- Prepare and send client order status report as requested
- Work closely with Director of Sales & Marketing, including but not limited to:
- Following up on leads
- Generating estimates, checking for errors and accuracy
- Providing support in efforts to generate additional revenue for the Company
- Communicate regularly with management to stay updated on Company’s capabilities and policies
- Generate leads for the Sales team
- Maintain accurate records of conversion rate of estimates to orders and converting leads/prospects to clients
- Update customer information in database after interaction with all potential and existing clients
- Assist with providing ideas/content for email campaigns and social media
- Act as liaison between Sales and Accounting with invoicing
- Streamline processes by developing standard statements, verbiage, and guides
- Act as liaison between the Sales and department managers
- Act as the lead for onboarding all new clients
BS or BA preferred, but not required. If no degree, candidate must have laboratory/manufacturing setting experience for at least (3) years. Pay rate to be established based on candidate's background/experience.
