2027 Summer Intern: Business Analyst

• You’re a motivated student with a current 3.0 GPA or higher currently pursuing a degree in one of the following areas from an accredited college or university:
  
  • Business Administration,Business Technology Management,Computer Science,Data Science,Information Technology,Management and Organization
• This is a paid, full-time, 11-week internship designed to give you real-world experience and meaningful exposure to the telecommunications industry in your chosen field.
• Internship program runs from May 26 through August 6, 2027.
• In addition to role-specific projects, you’ll take part in professional development sessions, networking opportunities, mentorship and experiences that help you grow personally and professionally.

What you can expect in this role  

 

As a Spectrum intern, you’ll spend the summer working alongside two teams: your respective department and your intern cohort.

 

Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on internship experiences that include a kickoff conference, professional development sessions and networking activities, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects and final presentations.

 

This experience is designed to help you explore your interests, expand your network and leave with a deeper understanding of both your field and the impact of our business.

 

Internship responsibilities may include:

• Collaborate with business analysts and developers to gather and document requirements for Spectrum’s field tools
• Analyze operational data and support enhancements that improve technician productivity and field efficiency
• Map workflows and processes using diagramming tools to clarify business needs
• Translate stakeholder requirements into technical language for effective communication
• Use SQL, Excel or Google Sheets to validate, clean and visualize data for actionable insights
• Assist with Agile project tracking and documentation in tools like Jira or Azure DevOps
• Participate in cross-functional projects, professional development sessions, networking activities and final presentations

Required Qualifications

• Must be a rising senior with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a bachelor’s degree
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
• Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Requirements gathering and documentation including user stories and business requirements documents
• Process mapping and diagramming workflows using tools like Visio, Lucidchart or Miro
• Stakeholder communication translating business needs into technical language
• Critical thinking and problem decomposition for structured analysis
