CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER- Food Manufacturing
The Customer Service Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all day-to-day operations of customer service, including all areas related to fulfilling customer contracts, spot orders, invoicing, and collections. This role will support the Sales team in managing customer accounts, delivering consistent service, maintaining accurate customer accounts and implementing new processes and functions as needed and help achieve organizational and departmental goals.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:
· Lead and motivate the Customer Service team, providing training in line with company standards for customer service & quality control, clearly communicating performance expectations, and providing coaching and development.
· Direct day-to-day Sales and Customer Service activities, including invoicing, product releases, communicating customer priority to Production, and verifyingfreight and cold storage invoices.
· Assist with developing customer contracts, provide freight and storage quotes, negotiate terms, and issue final sales memos.
· Understand customer contracts and communicate pricing, delivery schedules, and customer specifications to Production, QA, Traffic and Accounting teams to meet customer needs.
· Work with Inventory to continuously monitor finished goods stock, keeping Sales and Production leadership appraised of changing pack outs and updated plans.
· Manage all customer quality concerns, rejected products, and claims; document all claims and final resolutions.
· Work closely with the QA teams to ensure all product released for sale meets customer specifications and company standards for safety and quality.
· Participate in 3rd party and bank audits; provide forecasts and contract volumes for budgeting purposes.
· Develop and distribute meaningful sales and customer service reporting for Leadership and other stakeholders.
· Ensure proper recordkeeping of all sales files from contract to product delivery for audit and traceability purposes.
· Develop departmental policies, procedures and internal controls to ensure customer satisfaction and product quality.
· Attend the annual AFFI convention and conduct client visits as needed to build strong customer and industry relationships.
· Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and quality enhancement; implement changes as necessary.
**PAY RANGE: $90-130K, BONUS, FULL BENEFITS, 401K, RELOCATION ASSISTANCE WITHIN CA ONLY, and more.**

Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales service, especially in agriculture or food processing.
- Demonstrated customer service success and track record of customer satisfaction.
- Experience with Sage X3 or similar ERP preferred.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
