Job description

Position Highlights:

We are rapidly expanding our US team and are seeking a successful, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Driver Supervisor. The Driver Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and performance of the dental laboratory's transportation team. This role ensures drivers provide timely, professional, and efficient pickup and delivery services while maintaining compliance with company safety standards, vehicle maintenance requirements, and customer service expectations. The Driver Supervisor works closely with laboratory management to ensure all routes are completed accurately and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

Driver Supervision

• Supervise and support all company drivers.
• Monitor driver attendance, punctuality, and overall job performance.
• Provide coaching, training, and corrective action when necessary.
• Review the Driver Driving Guidelines with the new hires and continue to provide on-going training to existing drivers.
• Conduct regular driver meetings to review expectations, safety, and performance.

Route & Pickup Management

• Review daily pickup and delivery schedules to ensure timely service.
• Monitor completed pickups and deliveries for accuracy and efficiency.
• Address missed, delayed, or incomplete pickups promptly.
• Coordinate route adjustments as needed to maximize efficiency.

Fleet & Safety Oversight

• Review driver telematics reports, including:
• Speeding incidents
• Hard braking events
• Rapid acceleration
• Unsafe driving behaviors
• Coach drivers on safe driving practices and document performance improvements.
• Ensure compliance with all company driving policies and traffic regulations.

Vehicle Inspections

• Verify that drivers complete daily vehicle inspections before operating company vehicles.
• Ensure inspection reports are completed accurately and submitted each day.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs when issues are identified.
• Monitor fleet cleanliness, safety, and overall condition.

End-of-Day Compliance

• Ensure all drivers complete required end-of-day procedures.
• Verify end-of-day vehicle photographs are taken and submitted according to company policy.
• Review submitted documentation for completeness and accuracy.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain records of driver performance, inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.
• Prepare reports on fleet performance, safety metrics, and driver compliance.
• Communicate operational concerns and recommendations to management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience managing delivery or transportation operations is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with GPS routing systems, fleet management software, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to analyze driver performance data and implement improvements.
