What are the responsibilities and job description for the Talent Acquisition Partner position at Prodigy Resources?
Talent Acquisition Partner
Location: Flexible (must be willing to travel frequently)
Reports To: Head of Talent Acquisition
About Group 1 Automotive
Group 1 is a $23B automotive retailer undergoing a full-scale transformation. With plans to double our workforce from 13,000 to 26,000 employees over the next 2–3 years, we're rebuilding Talent Acquisition from the ground up. This is not a typical TA team — we’re designing for scale, speed, and operational excellence.
The Opportunity
We’re hiring experienced Talent Acquisition Partners to take full ownership of recruiting across key U.S. markets. You’ll walk into high-growth, high-urgency environments with little structure — and be expected to immediately drive results while building better systems.
You’ll partner directly with GMs and Market Leaders, reset expectations, identify critical hiring gaps, and lead local recruiting execution. This is a hands-on, high-impact IC role — ideal for operators who thrive in fast-changing environments and know how to influence without authority.
What You’ll Do
- Own full-cycle recruiting for high-volume, go-to-work roles across your assigned market(s)
- Partner with GMs and field leaders to audit stores, identify gaps, and reset recruiting processes
- Drive 25–30 hires per month through data-driven, proactive recruiting
- Translate national TA strategy into local execution
- Build dashboards, surface insights, and make clear, action-oriented recommendations
- Influence leaders diplomatically and gain buy-in for new ways of working
- Travel regularly to markets and stores — especially during the first 30–60 days
What We’re Looking For
Must-Have:
- 5 years of recruiting experience in high-volume environments (agency or corporate)
- Demonstrated ability to hire 25–30 roles per month
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building process while executing
- Consultative style: can influence without authority and reset legacy expectations
- Strong with data, insights, and storytelling
- No hand-holding required — you hit the ground running
Strongly Preferred:
- Experience owning a market or region
- Prior people leaders seeking IC roles with more autonomy
- Background in TA process design or rebuild
- Ability to translate business strategy into talent execution
Travel Requirements
- Heavy travel in the first 1–2 months (onboarding market immersion)
- Ongoing travel to markets for audits, events, and business needs
- Quarterly visits to HQ in Houston
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
