Duties
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, and pruning to keep outdoor areas healthy and attractive
- Operate grounds maintenance and landscaping equipment such as power tools, lawnmowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems safely and effectively
- Support tree trimming, hardscape installation, and garden bed preparation to enhance landscape aesthetics
- Use hand tools for planting, digging, edging, and other landscaping activities with precision and care
- Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care and pest management practices are followed
- Maintain safety protocols during all outdoor activities to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment
- Help with irrigation system installation and troubleshooting to promote healthy plant growth
Requirements
- Prior outdoor work experience or a strong interest in landscaping and groundskeeping
- Basic mechanical knowledge of gardening tools, power tools, and irrigation systems
- Familiarity with plant identification, horticulture principles, and pesticide management is a plus
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols
- Strong physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Excellent teamwork skills and a proactive attitude toward learning new skills
- Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of grounds maintenance
