The Opportunity
Under the direction of the Senior Vice President of Business Development, the Business Development Director is responsible for successfully onboarding new member companies. The Business Development Director reviews customer requirements and coordinates with suppliers to ensure favourable commercial benefits are offered to potential customers. Business Development Director is also responsible for building and maintaining Private Equity and Consulting relationships. This includes building pipelines for new business as well as ensuring that current customers are meeting KPls through our program.
• Builds relationships with prospective member companies (customers) to understand each of their unique objectives and needs, serving as their advocate and agent.
• In conjunction with supplier-led teams, develops commercial benefits package for prospective new members.
• Coordinates the collection of all required startup documents to ensure successful connection to PA contracts.
• Conducts regular cadence calls with Private Equity and Consulting partners to update them on the portfolio activities. Coordinates with PA member advisors to ensure portfolio companies are meeting expected KPls.
• Builds relationships with supplier partners to drive mutual value and issue resolution.
• Problem-solves through leveraging relationships with internal partners, suppliers, and member companies.
• Identifies opportunities with PA vendors for the prospective member to connect to.
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date records pertaining to activity and opportunities, completing necessary implementation steps.
Requirements
Education requirements: Bachelor’s degree in in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or Related.
Experience requirements: 2 years of experience in Project Manager or Operations engineer or Related.
Travel requirements: 30% Domestic travel to unanticipated location within USA.
