JOB SUMMARY

Proctors Collaborative is the Capital District’s leading regional arts organization with performing arts venues in Albany, Schenectady and Saratoga, and education, civic engagement and economic development initiatives throughout the region. We’re changing expectations about how the arts serve a community.  

Proctors Collaborative seeks Line Cooks to work both day or evening shifts (according to your availability). These positions are per diem and align with specific show dates and times. Although the schedule is known well in advance, there are no regularly scheduled hours associated with these positions. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in cooking and plating a diverse menu, to order
• Assess inventory and prep accordingly
• Practice proper rotation of stock
• Dedication to proper sanitary practices and procedure
• Ensure proper cleaning of all equipment.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to work efficiently and quickly to serve in an abbreviated window of time
• Experience as prep or line cook in café setting or low volume restaurant
• Reliability a must
• Baking experience a plus
• Comfort in working with diverse groups of people.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Able to:

1. lift up to 40 pounds
2. stand for extended periods of time.
