Facilities Technician I
Love fixing things, working outdoors, and being the everyday hero who keeps a campus thriving? Proctor Academy in Andover, NH is looking for a energetic, hands-on Facilities Technician I to join our team. If you take pride in a job well done—whether that’s troubleshooting a lock, prepping campus for a major event, or keeping our grounds pristine year-round—this is the spot for you.
What You’ll Do
No two days are quite the same! You’ll handle a dynamic mix of semi-skilled tasks to keep our campus safe, functional, and looking its best:
- General Fixes & Trades: Light plumbing, basic carpentry, door and lock repair, window/screen fixes, painting, and light bulb replacements.
- Grounds & Curb Appeal: Mowing, weed whacking, garden maintenance, leaf pickup, and winter snow removal (shoveling and clearing pathways).
- Campus Support & Events: Furniture delivery/setup, event staging for school functions, and routine rubbish/recycling pickup.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular facility inspections, safety checks, and assigned work orders to keep operations running smoothly.
Schedule: Full-Time | Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM – 3:00 P. M. Hours and shifts may vary depending on demand, to include the possibility of overnight, weekends and holidays.

Eastern Alpine Ski - Seasonal
Proctor Academy is looking to fill a seasonal Eastern Alpine Ski position. This seasonal position runs from November 1, 2026 to April 15, 2027 and works with athletes in competitive ski racing from ages 14-18.
The ideal candidate must be a positive role model with a great deal of energy and enthusiasm. Candidates should possess good communication skills and have an in-depth knowledge of athletic development for alpine athletes. Applicants must be able to work weekends/holidays when applicable, and be able to travel locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.

Proctor Academy is seeking a dependable, self-motivated individual to help run our ice rink operations this season. If you enjoy a hands-on environment, take pride in maintaining top-tier ice conditions, and love being part of a vibrant athletic community, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
As a Rink Operator, you’ll play a key role in delivering an outstanding experience for Proctor students, families, and visiting teams.
- Ice & Facility Maintenance: Operate our electric Zamboni resurfacer, perform daily ice grooming/upkeep, sharpen skates, and assist with full ice installation (September) and removal (March).
- Plant & Safety Oversight: Monitor and occasionally operate the rink's refrigeration system while keeping facilities clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Community Engagement: Serve as a helpful, professional point of contact for student-athletes, coaches, parents, and community patrons.
What We’re Looking For
- Self-Motivated & Detail-Oriented: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work independently as well as collaboratively across departments.
- People Skills: Comfort interacting professionally with students, parents, and visiting guests.
- Flexibility: Availability to work nights and weekends throughout the hockey season.
- Technical Aptitude: Experience with Zamboni operation, mechanical equipment, or skate sharpening is a plus, but a strong willingness to learn is key.

Ski Patrol
Keep our athletes safe and our slopes running smoothly! As a Ski Patroller, you will work closely with the Patrol Director, management, and coaches to maintain safety across all trails, jumps, terrain features, and lifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide medical assessment, treatment, and emergency care for injured athletes; inspect and evaluate trail conditions, terrain elements, and lift safety; enforce ski area safety protocols and rules of conduct; manage daily hand tow operations, along with opening and closing procedures.
Qualifications:
- Current National Ski Patrol Outdoor Emergency Care (NSP OEC) certification (or equivalent).
- Strong skiing/riding skills and solid decision-making under pressure.
Snowmaker / Lift Operator
Be the backbone of our mountain operations! This hands-on role is essential to creating great snow conditions and keeping our lifts running safely all season long.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily snowmaking operations and slope maintenance; operate and monitor ski lifts safely while assisting guests and athletes; execute routine maintenance and general ski area operational duties.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license and snowmobile operation experience; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in winter conditions; computer literacy and the ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions; high standards for safety, strong workflow management, and a commitment to excellence; availability to work weekends during the season (November through April).
