We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Scientist to join our team. This role will play a critical part in supporting environmental safety programs, including biodegradation and ecotoxicity. The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, including environmental engineering, risk assessment, chemistry, ecotoxicology, and chemical engineering.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of chemical properties, fate, and transport in the environment, as well as their impact on ecosystems. Strong laboratory experience in biodegradation and ecotoxicity testing is preferred. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing deep knowledge of environmental fate and biodegradation for different ingredient classes and functions.
- Working jointly with company experts on environmental safety endpoints to ensure robust internal and external safety programs.
- Leading internal laboratory research and external influencing activities to develop improved biodegradation methods.
- Representing P&G and leading external influencing activities on environmental safety of ingredients through task forces or trade associations.
