Job Description
Procreate Fertility Center is seeking a Spanish-speaking Patient Care Coordinator to join our growing team in Chesapeake, VA! Responsibilities:
- Answer phones in a prompt and professional manner; direct calls to appropriate staff members
- Schedule appointments
- Check in/check out patients and collect payments
- Prior to meeting with patients, verify benefits with insurance company and determine infertility coverage for both female and male patients
- Obtain prior authorizations when needed
- Contribute to overall positive attitudes by exhibiting professional courtesy to patients, providers, and staff
- Act with integrity and confidentiality when dealing with patients and/or clinic information, in accordance with HIPAA rules and regulations
- Adhere to clinic attendance expectations as outlined by policy
- Other administrative duties as necessary
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills and telephone etiquette
- Bilingual Spanish or fluency in Spanish
- Excellent customer service and team player skills
- At least two years of medical front office experience
- Proficiency with at least one electronic medical records platform
- Proficiency in MS Office or equivalent
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Positive attitude
- Flexibility
- Ability to prioritize tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Medical administrative assistant certification or 2 years of experience of medical front office experience
- Certified Medical Interpreter
