Job Description
We are seeking an experienced SAP Architect with deep expertise in SAP PP, APO, and DP to lead solution design, integration, optimization, and end-to-end implementation for WestRock s supply chain and manufacturing systems. This role requires strong functional and architectural skills, hands-on configuration experience, and the ability to work closely with business, IT, and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
SAP Architecture & Solution Design
- Lead the overall architecture, roadmap, and solution design for SAP PP, APO, and DP modules aligned with WestRock s business goals.
- Translate business requirements into scalable SAP supply chain and manufacturing solutions.
- Define end-to-end process flows for Production Planning, Demand Planning, and Supply Network Planning.
- Conduct feasibility assessments and recommend best practices, design patterns, and integration approaches.
- Ensure solutions are compliant with SAP standards, extensibility guidelines, and future upgrade paths.
Functional Expertise PP / APO / DP
- Configure and optimize SAP PP processes including MRP, production orders, BOM, routing, capacity planning, and shop floor execution.
- Design and implement SAP APO (SNP/PPDS) models including planning books, heuristics, CIF integration, and supply/demand balancing.
- Lead SAP DP (Demand Planning) configuration including forecasting models, macro design, and statistical planning.
- Drive improvements across forecasting accuracy, replenishment planning, and manufacturing efficiency.
Support & Operations
- Lead production support for PP/APO/DP areas, ensuring quick resolution of incidents and defects.
- Conduct root cause analysis for planning and execution issues.
- Guide change management, release planning, transport management, and regression testing.
- Ensure system stability, performance, and alignment with business KPIs.
Required Skills
- 10 years of hands-on SAP PP experience with strong manufacturing and supply chain domain knowledge.
- 8 years of SAP APO experience (DP, SNP, PPDS).
- Strong expertise in forecasting models, planning books, macros, and supply/demand balancing.
- Experience in architecting and implementing end-to-end SAP planning and production solutions.
- Hands-on experience with CIF, integration testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Experience working in onsite/offshore delivery models.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA PP/DS.
- Knowledge of MES systems, WMS, and integration touchpoints.
- Experience with SAP IBP is a plus.
- Manufacturing domain experience (Paper/Packaging industries preferred).
