Procon now seeks a Contracts Administrator specializing in Transportation to join our team. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, comprehensive knowledge of contract administration principles, and the ability to manage contractual processes to support transportation-related projects effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- 5-15 years of experience in contract administration within the transportation sector.
- In-depth knowledge of contract types, terms, and conditions commonly used in transportation projects.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated expertise in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing contractual documents.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
- Ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong ethical standards and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Professional certification from Project Management Institute or American Association of cost engineers preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Administer all contractual activities related to transportation projects, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, client requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, amendments, change orders, and other related documents in collaboration with legal counsel and project teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related inquiries from clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain organized contract files and documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for audits and reporting.
- Monitor contract performance and compliance, identifying and addressing potential risks or issues proactively.
- Coordinate with project managers and finance teams to support project budgeting, billing, and closeout activities.
- Ensure timely execution and proper documentation of all contract deliverables.
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of contract administration procedures and best practices.
- Support dispute resolution efforts and facilitate communication between involved parties as necessary.
