Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in service technician roles and equipment maintenance. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and safety of our facilities and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs on standby generator systems.
- Troubleshooting and diagnostic testing, load-bank testing, and start-ups
- Perform all routine maintenance on the condition and components of the Generator .
-Providing emergency/unscheduled repairs of generators both during normal working hours and after-hours, weekends, and holidays as directed.
-Participating in "On-Call" rotation
- Must ensure the Generator can perform its duties in the event of a major power outage.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform necessary repairs
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with internal staff or external vendors.
-Preferred knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems (such as generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS units).
-Transportation provided-must be willing to travel to different job sites.
Skills:
- Proven experience in generator repair, or equipment maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting and repair
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnostics techniques
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on problem-solving
- Familiarity with generators and diesel engines is required
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team environment
-Telecommunication/ATS experience
-Generac, Kohler, Onan, Magnetek, Taylor experience
-Generator repair and maintenance (REQUIRED)
