Materials Coordinator - Contract - Rochester NY

Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be required to support laboratory operations by handling and processing specimens efficiently and accurately. This role focuses on ensuring proper distribution, data entry, and adherence to safety protocols.
Skills & Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency with email and basic computer programs.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
The Material Coordinator's responsibilities will be:
- Follow safety procedures to minimize risks associated with blood and bodily fluid exposure.
- Distribute specimens to the appropriate departments for timely analysis.
- Provide exceptional service to internal customers to ensure client satisfaction.
- Open shipping packages, remove airway bills, and organize contents appropriately.
- Enter receipt information into the system accurately.
- Sort specimens into designated areas as required.
Compensation:
- $12 to $15 per hour.
