Associate Payroll Manager - Contract - Sleepy Hollow, NY

Proclinical is seeking an Associate Manager, Payroll to support payroll operations for US and Canadian employee populations.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, oversee payroll tax activities, and contribute to process improvements in a fast-paced environment. This role focuses on ensuring accurate, timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

Skills & Requirements:

• Experience in a lead or supervisory role supporting payroll teams.
• Familiarity with high-volume, fast-paced environments with strict deadlines.
• Proficiency with Oracle Payroll and Oracle Time & Labor (OTL) or similar enterprise systems.
• Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations, wage laws, and compliance requirements for US and Canada.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP formulas, and data analysis.
• Experience with payroll audits, reconciliations, month-end/quarter-end close, and tax filings.
• Ability to interpret system data, perform testing, and troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, HR, or related field.

The Associate Payroll Manager's responsibilities will be:

• Manage end-to-end payroll operations for US and Canada employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor payroll processes and internal controls to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Develop, update, and maintain detailed documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Train staff on procedures, system functionality, and process changes to ensure consistency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve payroll system issues, addressing employee escalations as needed.
• Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, HR, and Accounting to ensure accurate payroll funding and reconciliations.
• Conduct testing for payroll systems and support special projects or enhancements.
• Manage month-end and quarter-end close activities, ensuring proper documentation and accuracy.
• Oversee payroll tax activities, including tax funding, reconciliations, and filings.
• Prepare payroll reports for executive leadership and maintain comprehensive transaction records.
• Lead, mentor, and support payroll team members, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

Compensation:

• Up to $70 Per Hour
