Job Overview:
We are looking for a Part-Time Interior Design Office Assistant to provide administrative support, assist with customer service, and help manage design projects. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for design, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:1. Administrative Support
- Manage and maintain records, invoices, and purchase orders.
- Assist with scheduling deliveries and coordinating with vendors.
- Organize and track special orders, ensuring timely follow-ups.
- Maintain office supplies and showroom materials.
2. Customer Service
- Greet and assist customers in the showroom with general inquiries, returns, and re-orders.
- Answer phone calls and emails, directing them to the appropriate team members.
- Provide updates on order statuses.
- Ensure a welcoming and professional showroom environment.
3. Project Management
- Oversee special order tracking, from placement to delivery.
- Create pick-tickets for in-stock items.
- Communicate with the warehouse and design team to ensure smooth project execution.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role within the interior design industry preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and QuickBooks (preferred but not required).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Part-time: Approximately 32 hours per week, with strong potential for full-time in the future.
- Must be available Mondays, Tuesdays, and Saturdays.
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
