Great Full Time Seasonal Job! Employment is through the Processing Tomato Advisory Board. We inspect tomatoes from the loads that are being delivered to the processor. They stop at our dedicated inspection stations, and a small sample is conveyed to us from each load.
Inspection stations are in Modesto, Oakdale, Escalon, Stockton, and Patterson (we always try to schedule inspectors to the station closest to their location of residence). Ability to read, write, and speak English required.
PTAB follows the CDC guidelines from the County and State of California.
Inspection runs mid-July to mid-October, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Inspectors would be assigned to work either day or night shift, typically 4 or 5 days a week. There will be a two hour training session before the session begins, then on the job training. A drug test is required.
Wages are $19.79 or $20.95 per hour, depending on proof of auto insurance and valid driver's license.
