Position Summary: This position primarily supports the Field Service (Construction) division, with additional support to Manufacturing operations, by assisting in the implementation, coordination, and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs. The Safety Manager works closely with Field Service leadership, site supervisors, and project teams, while reporting directly to the Safety Director, to ensure safe execution of construction, outage, and field service activities across multiple job sites.
The role is heavily focused on field presence, jobsite safety oversight, and direct support of crews in active construction environments, ensuring compliance with company standards, client requirements, and applicable OSHA/MSHA regulations.
This role requires up to 50% travel. This job will report to the office located in Pelham, Alabama.
The Safety Manager plays a key role in field audits, outage planning, site safety enforcement, incident response, and real-time risk mitigation, working directly with crews to promote safe work practices in dynamic jobsite conditions.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:
• Provide direct safety support to Field Service crews on active construction and outage sites
• Partner closely with Field Service leadership to promote safe work execution
• Conduct frequent field audits, site visits, and safety observations during outage and project work
• Review field work plans and crew assignments for safety compliance and risk mitigation
• Participate in pre-outage planning meetings and help identify job-specific hazards
• Assist in enforcing jobsite safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Serve as a field resource for supervisors and crews on safety-related issues
• Support incident response, including investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
• Immediately report and help address incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions
• Assist with tracking and closing out corrective actions from field activities
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure compliance with client and regulatory safety requirements
• Support MSHA/OSHA compliance efforts across construction and industrial job sites
• Assist in coordinating and delivering field-focused safety training and toolbox talks
• Attend weekly Field Service scheduling meetings as assigned
• Maintain accurate documentation of field audits, reports, and safety records
• Provide secondary support to manufacturing safety initiatives as needed

Required Experience: Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience
Preferred Experience: Experience supporting industrial construction, outage, maintenance, or field service operations
Required Education: GED or High School Diploma
Preferred Education: OSHA 30, OSHA 500 or 501, CHST, ASP, and CSP
