The Hand Solder position is part of the Production Team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, located in our Mentor, Ohio office. This position will require a broad range of responsibilities to ensure success. Including, but not limited to these functionalities:
The compensation range for this role is $20.00-$25.00/hour.

Responsibilities
The Hand Solder position is part of the Production Team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, located in our Mentor, Ohio office. This position will require a broad range of responsibilities to ensure success. Including, but not limited to these functionalities:
- Responsible for the soldering of printed circuit boards and assemblies to IPC standards.
- Identify good and bad solder connections based on industry quality standards of IPC
- or equivalent.
- Solder and touch-up of through-hole components.
- Rework of through-hole components once qualified.
- Solder and rework of surface mount components on printed circuit boards once qualified.
- Produce quality workmanship consistent with IPC or equivalent standards.
- Pass IPC certification for CIS.
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), and work instructions.
- Assist in the development and improvement of work instructions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Education: High School/GED diploma required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of electronic soldering experience or successful completion of a solder training.
- IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification preferred.
- Manual dexterity and use hand tools.
- Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds.
- Prolonged use of stereo microscopes to perform detailed tasks.
- Willing to travel for training
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Experience in project management and process improvement.
- Systems Used
- Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, PPT, Excel)
- CSI
- UKG
- Fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment.
- Requires working closely with production and engineering teams on-site.
- Occasional travel may be required to supplier or customer sites.
