Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Analyst with strong experience in the tolling domain, specifically with back-office operations and applications developed in .NET and SQL. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to elicit, analyze, and document requirements, ensuring that business objectives are met with scalable and efficient technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, document, and analyze business requirements related to tolling operations and back-office systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including business users, developers, and QA teams to understand and translate functional needs into technical requirements.
- Work closely with .NET developers and SQL DBAs to ensure proper implementation of back-office functionalities (account management, payment processing, reconciliation, reporting, etc.).
- Develop process flows, data flow diagrams, and functional specifications.
- Support the design and enhancement of tolling back-office systems including account setups, violation processing, dispute resolution, and financial transaction processing.
- Perform data analysis and reporting using SQL to support business decisions and identify trends or system issues.
- Participate in testing activities including creating test cases and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Monitor and manage change requests, ensuring alignment with overall project scope and objectives.
- Act as a subject matter expert in tolling operations and related regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years in the tolling industry or intelligent transportation systems (ITS).
- Solid understanding of back-office systems related to toll collection, billing, customer service, and enforcement.
- Experience working with .NET applications and writing complex SQL queries for data validation and analysis, Preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Agile or hybrid methodologies and tools like JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with financial reconciliation, customer account lifecycle, and violation management processes.
- Exposure to reporting tools like SSRS, Power BI, or Tableau.
