Job Overview:

  • We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Field Project Manager with a background in the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, self-motivated, and comfortable working in field environments that may be challenging and physically demanding. This individual will play a crucial role in field assessments and data collection to support our oil and gas operations, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to safety standards.


Key Responsibilities:


Field Data Collection & Analysis:

  • Conduct field research and data collection in various locations, including remote and challenging environments. Perform process fluid (oil, water, gas, etc.) sampling related to oil and gas operations.


Sampling & Testing:

  • Collect samples in accordance with company protocols. Analyze collected samples and provide detailed reports of findings, ensuring accurate documentation and proper storage of data.


Site Assessments & Monitoring:

  • Perform regular site visits to monitor environmental conditions, equipment performance, and operational safety. Conduct real-time analysis and troubleshooting in the field to address any issues or discrepancies.


Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

  • Work closely with engineers, operations teams, and environmental specialists to support ongoing projects and ensure field data aligns with operational goals. Provide technical input and suggestions based on field observations.


Safety & Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and industry standards during fieldwork. Take proactive measures to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks, ensuring safe operations at all times.


Field Equipment Operation & Maintenance:

  • Operate and maintain scientific equipment, including sensors, meters, and sampling devices. Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed to ensure data integrity and reliability.


Reporting & Documentation:

  • Document field activities, results, and findings in detailed reports for internal teams. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of field tests, samples, and observations.


Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement based on field experiences. Provide feedback to improve procedures, equipment, and safety practices.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Chemistry, or a related field required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in field operations within the oil and gas industry or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of scientific methods and field testing protocols specific to the oil and gas industry.
  • Proficiency in using field instruments and laboratory equipment for analysis and data collection.
  • Ability to work in challenging outdoor environments, including extreme temperatures, muddy or rugged terrain, and remote locations.
  • Strong work ethic, self-starter attitude, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable getting dirty and working in physically demanding conditions for extended periods.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and equipment used in field operations.
  • Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting and transporting field equipment, hiking, and standing for long periods.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to relay information and report findings effectively.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with environmental monitoring and mitigation techniques in the oil and gas industry.
  • Certification in safety protocols such as HAZWOPER, First Aid, or CPR.
