Process Instruments, an ATS Company, is Western Pennsylvania's premier test equipment and gauge calibration lab, operated by people dedicated to metrology, quality, and integrity. Process Instruments is seeking a Calibration Technician who will provide calibration services (TMDE) both in-lab and at customer sites for a variety of equipment and instrumentation. This role is based in the Pittsburgh, PA location.
The Calibration Technician will work both independently and with other technicians on the team. The successful candidate should have documented calibration experience in up to three disciplines (e.g. Electrical, Dimensional or Pressure). Candidates must be willing to travel to the local area customer sites to calibrate a variety of inspection, measuring and testing equipment.
Responsibilities
- Work with other technicians within the lab to learn calibration fundamentals, which can include measurement of a variety of electrical and mechanical devices
- Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques
- Maintain calibration standards
- Perform calibration work within a laboratory setting or while supervised at a client facility
- Fulfill duties safely under working conditions, in keeping with Company requirements and standards
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education And Experience
- High School graduate / or equivalent required
- Associates degree from college or technical school preferred. ; or at least one (1) year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge and competency in at least three 3 disciplines (dimensional, electrical, torque, temperature, pressure, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Computer competency
- Ability to work independently
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience or training in electronics
- Basic mathematical skills including algebra, geometry, and statistics
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office computer software including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Organizational and time management skills
- Experience in PME, TMDE, Metrology, Calibration, ASQ CCT, METCAL, Electronics, and/or Avionics.
