A school-based position is available for a certified Teacher for the Visually Impaired, providing specialized instruction to elementary and high school students. This contract role offers flexible part-time hours, servicing a caseload of six students during the 2025/26 school year.

Qualifications:
- Must hold valid NY TVI (Teacher of the Visually Impaired) certification
- Experience working with visually impaired students across elementary and high school age ranges
- Ability to tailor instruction to individual student needs and collaborate with school staff
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized education and support to students with visual impairments
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) to address students’ unique goals
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other professionals to ensure accessibility and support
- Utilize adaptive technologies and resources to enhance learning experiences
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
Job Details:
- Contract role starting ASAP through the end of the 2025/26 school year
- Less than 10 hours per week with flexible scheduling Monday through Friday
- Caseload includes 6 students spanning elementary and high school levels
